While LASIK enhancement – a secondary LASIK procedure to correct for under- or overcorrection – can be performed by either lifting the old flap or cutting a new one, the prevalent attitude has always favored recutting. However, a new study conducted over a five-year period in Minnesota showed better vision results in patients who had the flap lifted.
